I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

Thank you so much for praying if you did! I have seen God answer some prayers over the last couple of weeks that were really weighing heavily on my mind. I wish I could share them all with you! I was praying for you as well and I hope you also looked for and saw God working in your life. Sometimes we get caught up in our own happenings and forget life is going on everywhere else too! The great part is that He can keep up with it all - when we can barely keep up with ourselves! So it's a wonderful thing when we take the time to pray for each other and our faith is increased when we see Him answering prayers and working personally in our lives!

I realized I haven't told you an important tidbit of info. So I'm stating it here officially...I have surrendered to return to Kenya as a missionary! Are you surprised? Lord willing, I will be working with the Madory family out of Karen Baptist Church in Nairobi and am thrilled that God is allowing me to be involved in the ministry in this way. I am very excited not just to get there and get started but to see God work between now and then. I have been through so many different emotions this year. Since I first felt that God was leading me to a trip to Kenya after meeting up with the Madory's at camp last year - I would describe that feeling as shock, panic, acceptance, anticipation Haha - through now when I am making plans to move and be away from my family and start this crazy new chapter in my life. I say crazy because I must be...at least that's what some people tell me... I have moments too walking through my house I think...this maybe the last time I.... fill in the blank. I would be crazy not to admit that looking into the future where there are more questions than answers can be daunting...but like the song says...I don't worry o'er the future, for I know what Jesus said, and today I'll walk beside Him, for He knows what is ahead, Many things about tomorrow I don’t seem to understand but I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand.
I would like to say that I never "worry o'er the future" but sometimes..I do. Then something happens that says - you're headed in the right direction...trust in Me... Something that I am trying to remember and learn is that it's not for me to know how it will all work out - to see the whole map if you will. But it is my responsibility to take the next turn, the next step whenever He leads. Like my favorite verses Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths."

    1. I would add verses 7 and 8 to your favorites. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Proverbs 3:8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
Glad to have you on board at WCBC.
